Here is a nice Antique C R Reichert Microscope for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself!

Nice Antique C R Reichert Monocular Microscope here. Does come with a wood carrying Case. Reichert was a very prominent microscope maker in Austria. The base has a serial number of 12833 on it that would date the piece to the early 1930s.

Comes with one additional sighting lens. There are no lenses in the brass cases that come with this microscope. One of the three lenses on the turnaround does not look original to the microscope.

Cannot state if the pieces on the microscope body, lenses, case, etc. are original to the microscope or not. Selling the items as we found it. What you see in the pics is what you are buying. No reflecting mirror came with this microscope. Cannot speak to the condition of the glass on the lenses. Would expect scratching and finish loss with the microscope being around 100 years old.

This microscope is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end sale house or gallery, as we have been selling collectibles out of our home for over 35 years. We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that the higher end houses and galleries experience.

Knobs seem to all move to make focus adjustments. Some loss of finish and patina and minor scratching to the brass finish.

The wood case is missing the lock from the case. There are some keys that came with the piece. Some of the inside pieces to the case have come unglued and laying in the case loose. Cannot say if all those pieces are there. One of the sides is missing the veneer or was replaced, see pics. Comes with a wood drawer that the lenses and other accessories could be stored in.

The microscope is about 11.75" tall with the lenses down to viewing platform. 4-3/8" across, by 6.5" wide. The carrying case is 8-1/8" long, by 8-1/8" wide, by 15" tall.Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
