This is a highly collectible antique Chinese pewter teapot dating from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic period (19th Century). This piece features exceptional craftsmanship with a unique figural bamboo-molded handle and matching bamboo-form spout. The removable lid is topped with an intricately detailed Foo Dog (Imperial Guardian Lion) finial.
The underside features authentic dual square seal impression stamps / workshop touchmarks, alongside tiny remnants of an aged paper inventory tag.
Excellent antique condition with a gorgeous, naturally aged dark gray patina. Shows honest signs of age and light surface wear consistent with a genuine 19th-century metal piece. Spout and handle are sturdy.
