Antique 19th-century German/Bavarian-style tobacco pipe featuring a large hand-painted porcelain bowl with a colorful figural landscape scene. The pipe has a removable porcelain bowl approximately 4.5 inches long with an approximately 1-inch opening and a functional smoke passage through the lower outlet.
The multi-piece stem incorporates a textured natural-material section along with dark stem components and a metal collar/fitting. Exact materials are unknown. Please review photographs closely.
The porcelain shows considerable age and use, including chips and losses around the upper rim. A metal cap or rim assembly appears to have originally been present and is no longer with the pipe. The piece has not been polished or restored.
