A true Jazz Age accessory. This Whiting & Davis enameled mesh purse is from the 1920s, when flappers carried these little bags to dances and supper clubs. The flat \"armor\" mesh is painted with a stylized landscape in greens, black and cream, with a sawtooth fringe hem that swings when you move. The Art Deco frame is decorated with black enamel panels and an X-motif center, with a ball kiss-lock clasp and the original chain handle.

CONDITION
Good antique condition for a nearly 100-year-old mesh bag. The mesh is intact and flexible, and the clasp closes. The painted design shows wear and fading in spots, and the black enamel on the frame has chips and losses (see the frame close-ups). Please see photos.
