Beautiful antique Whiting & Davis enameled metal mesh purse, dating to the Art Deco / 1920s flapper era. The purse features an intricate geometric and floral pattern in yellow, green, pink, and black enamel over fine metal mesh.
The purse has an ornate engraved silver-tone frame, ball clasp, and decorative metal chain handle. The inside of the frame shows a faint Whiting & Davis maker’s mark, which is worn but visible in the photos.
The bottom has a decorative scalloped/pointed mesh edge, giving it the classic Jazz Age evening-bag look.
