Offered is a striking pair of antique Art Deco tiger bookends made by the Armor Bronze Company of New York City, dating to the 1920s–1930s.
These sculptural bookends feature powerful roaring tigers in dynamic poses, each standing atop a textured rocky base. The design captures the bold, stylized energy typical of the Art Deco period and remains one of the more desirable animal motifs produced by Armor Bronze.
Construction is the classic “bronze-clad” method used by the company—an electroplated bronze finish over a cast core—giving the appearance of solid bronze while allowing for fine detail.
