Up for sale is an original, authentic antique Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) dating to the Edwardian era (circa 1910–1915), documenting early 20th-century British family history.
The front of the postcard features a beautifully captured outdoor portrait of a young boy holding a vintage tool or garden hose while posing next to his large, shaggy pet dog, which resembles a rough-coated Collie or Shepherd mix. The scene shows excellent early period details, including the boy's traditional flat cap (newsboy hat), a heavy knit sweater, knickerbocker trousers, knee-high socks, and a primitive wooden stave barrel bucket resting against the garden foliage.
The reverse side delivers outstanding postal history and provenance:
