This circa 1900 book \"Great African Travelers: From Mungo Park (1795) to the Rescuing of Emin Pacha By Henry M. Stanley (1889)\" by Hugh Craig was published by George Routledge & Sons and is illustrated throughout with images of African life and wildlife. Tucked into its pages was a 1904 newspaper clipping announcing the death of the author and \"great traveler\" Henry M. Stanley (that\'s the guy on the cover).
This book measures about 9 5/8 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide. The cover has soiling and abrasion wear. There\'s a repair to the front hinge and the back hinge is cracked. There\'s water staining along the edges of the pages, which are age-tanned somewhat brittle (which is typical for this style of book).
