Slawik Co. out of St. Paul, Minnesota. • Exterior: The fur is in remarkable, stable condition for its 110+ year age. It exhibits excellent luster with minimal shedding and no major bald patches. The hide remains structurally solid.
• Interior: The main body lining is clean and intact. However, there is severe tearing/fabric separation at the back of the neck and collar junction (please see detailed photos). The black fabric has pulled away, exposing the raw, reddish-brown tanned leather underneath.
• Wearability: While the hide is sturdy, it has naturally stiffened over the past century. This item is being sold primarily as an incredible historical display piece, museum specimen, or theatrical prop. It is a fantastic candidate for specialized fur restoration.
