Up for sale is a Beautiful antique Flora engraving depicting the Roman goddess of flowers and spring, shown reclining among clouds and surrounded by winged cherubs/putti presenting baskets and bouquets of flowers. The composition features exceptionally detailed line work, cross-hatching and delicate shading typical of European engravings based on Baroque/Rococo designs. The laid paper displays noticeable age-related toning, spotting and discoloration that contribute to its historic character.
