This was an estate find here in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is an original 1892 hardcover book titled Memorial Addresses on the Life and Character of Leonidas Campbell Houk, a historical piece relating to the Tennessee Congressman.
Overall, I would consider this book to be in fair to, in some areas, poor condition due to its age. Everything appears to be intact, but please handle with care when turning the pages as this book is over 130 years old.
The cover shows significant signs of age, including spots, marks, wear, and some tears in areas (please see pictures). Inside, there is noticeable yellowing, foxing/spotting, and age-related discoloration throughout the pages. There is one page that is still attached but has loosened from the binding halfway through the book. Please review all pictures carefully for the best representation of condition.
This is a great piece of Tennessee history and would make an interesting addition for a collector, historian, or someone interested in early Tennessee political history. This book was pulled from storage and does have a slight storage smell, but in my opinion it is not overwhelming.
