This antique banjo is believed to be made by Lyon & Healy at the end of the 19th to very early beginning of the 20th century. I could be incorrect, but some key elements that brought me to this conclusion are the headstock shape, the fingerboard construction and the tail piece.this banjo will be a major project, peghead reconstruction, rebuilding nearly the entire neck, most frets are missing. the neck has a bow. various brackets and hardware pieces are missing. I believe I have the original tailt piece and a single original red oak friction tuning peg.as much as I eoukd like to take this project on, I think it best to pass along to someone who appreciates the banjo more than I do. The pictures should show off everything you need to know, but I'd just the to repeat that this will be a major restoration project. selling as is.
