This is a nickel-plated tin miniature Civil War canteen that reads \"We Drank From The Same Canteen GAR Souvenir.\" It was likely distributed at a Civil War veterans\' encampment. It measures 2-7/8\" tall to the top of the cork x 2.25\" wide. It includes the original cork and string. On the back, there is a portrait of John A. Logan, a U.S. Senator and vice-presidential candidate. It dates to around 1884 and is in excellent condition.* * * * * * * * *
