ThisAntique Fischer & Mieg Bohemia dinnerware china is rare and exquisite featuring intricate scrollwork and gilding, a unique design that hails from Bohemia (now the Czech Republic) in the late 19th century. Made of high-quality porcelain, these handmade vintage pieces showcase a multicolor palette that adds a touch of elegance to any dining table. With a rich history and exquisite craftsmanship, these pieces are a true testament to the artistry and skill of the Fischer & Mieg/Pirkenhammer brand.

Country:Bohemia (now Czech republic)

Date made: approximately 1850-1880

Material: Porcelain

Pattern: Scrolls, Mandala, Turkish, Moorish, Gilt

  • intricate hand-painted scroll/mandala pattern, with gold trim. The style is sometimes referred to as "Indian" or "Turkish" decorated, reflecting popular design motifs of the late 19th and early 20th preowned antique condition

    • Please look at all of the photos as I try to show any issues in the photos. Also, please read all of the description below. I thoroughly went through and itemized pieces and described the condition.
    • These were handmade and are antique - expect some differences between pieces that show they were individually hand made/painted. Also, expect some wear consistent with antique age.

      Dinner Plates(sold per one piece)

      • 14 plates available
      • $50 each
      • about 9.5 inches in diameter
      • no chips or cracks that I see
      • some wear to the gold rim and gold/color on the faces.
      • random small scratches to the face of plates.
      • Some have slightly more than others.
      • There is crazing to the back of multiple plates - These are not cracks. Just crazing to the glaze.
      • I would call the wear very minimal considering how old they are. I will try to show examples in the plate plates (sold per one piece)

        • these are in better condition (they were used less) than the dinner plates. So while these still have some wear to the gold/colors/plates, it is less than the dinner plates.

        Soup bowls/deep dishes (sold per one piece)

        • about 9.25 inches in diameter
        • about 1.5 inches tall
        • no chips or cracks that I see
        • as with the plates, these have some wear to the gold/colors.
        • There is crazing to at least one of the bowls - These are not cracks. Just crazing to the glaze.
        • the wear is mostly concentrated in the bowl of the dish where one stacked on top the other.I will try to show examples in the photos

        5 demitasse cup and saucer sets plus one extra saucer (sold all together)

        • Sold all together for $150
        • approximately 2 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches long with handle and 2 1/4 inches tall
        • one of the cups has a small chip on the rim that I will show in pictures
        • extra saucerhas a chip on the rim and small crazing
        • saucers are about 4 5/8 inches wide by half inch tall

        5 coffee cups and saucer sets plus 2 saucers (sold all together)

        • Sold all together for $150
        • cup is about 3 1/4 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches long with handle by two and three-quarter inches tall
        • one of the cups has a chip on the rim near the handle.
        • And another has a small chip on the outside of the rim, there is a tiny crack/crazing forming from the chip
        • saucer is about 5 1/2 inches wide by three-quarter inches tal
        • one of the extra saucers has a tiny chip on the underside of the rim. See pictures.

        1 Tureen with lid and is about 8 inches long by 4.75 inches wide by 3 inches tall. About 5 inches tall with lid.

      • ceramic ladle is approximately 8 inches long
      • lid has no chips or cracks that I see.
      • There is a little bit of wear to the gold gilt
      • ladle has no chips or cracks that I see but the gold gilt on the spoon area is wearing off
      • base has no chips or tracks that I see, but like the other pieces, the gold gilt on the rim opening is worn off quite a bit

      1 gravy boat with 1 is about 8 inches long

    • gravy boat is about 8 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall at the tallest
    • Some of the gold gilt on the t30
    • 100op edge of the opening has worn off.
    • boat has small chip on bottom rim
    • ladle has a metal part wrapped around it. I’m not sure why this is. Perhaps this is a repair where it broke. But it has clearly been repaired.

  • as with the plates this does have wear to the gold mainly. Mostly concentrated on the inside and some wear on the rim.

  • has a brown line on the back edge and you can faintly see it on the face of it - see pictures. It isn't a crack yet meaning it is still held together.
