This item is in good antique condition.
-Features original hand-written "Family Record"
pages documenting Cobb family deaths spanning
from 1857 to 1864.
-Includes two custom period bookmarks discovered
tucked within the pages.
-The deep jet-black leather cover features intricate
blind-tooled Victorian scrollwork and paneling.
-The spine displays bright gilt title lettering
"HOLY BIBLE" with raised hubs and clean panels.
- Exhibits expected age-related foxing, minor historical
moisture spots, and spotting near the endpapers and page edges.
-Kept in untouched, original condition; no cleaning
or modern chemical treatments have been attempted.
-Has been kept wrapped in archival protection
to preserve it. Unwrapped briefly for pictures,
immediately wrapped back up when done.
Pages opened as minimally as possible even
for leather and embossed borders made pictures
unusually difficult to take, it was acting like a mirror
and sponge all in one. I attached pictures at the end
of the gallery with different lighting, as well as one
to display how dramatically it reflects light when
attempting to use the camera flash.
