Elegant 1850s Victorian China Doll in Lace Gown

Step back in time with this beautiful mid-19th century German china head doll, measuring approximately 23 inches tall.

She features a classic “Flat Top” / “Covered Wagon” hairstyle, hand-painted blue eyes, delicate single-stroke brows, rosy cheeks, and coral lips.

Her china shoulder plate is unmarked, typical of early German makers such as Hertwig & Co. or Kister, dating to around 1850–1860.

The stitched cloth body has divided legs and leather lower limbs with boots, showing some gentle age wear consistent with the period.

She is elegantly dressed in a golden silk-blend gown, lace-trimmed cape, and detailed corset, with layered petticoats and underskirt beneath.

Her clothing evokes the charm and refinement of the Victorian era.

Excellent for age with some expected wear to clothing.

The silk-blend gown and lace cape show light age toning and a few small holes in the sheer overlay (see close-up photo).

Dress back and shirt are pinned for proper fit.
