This substantial book bound in red cloth with 3/4 leather is tight and complete with only some bumping on the corners and wear along the spline. The spline has a 5 rib design and incised decoration with gilt lettering. The book itself is illustrated with steel plate engravings. The only flaw is some kind of stain on the upper right corner of a number of the pages. The book includes 120 engraved plates and one map. The last page and the rear fly leaf have come loose, but are present.
