3/8” AR500 steel targets work great for the following calibers 223, 5.56, 5.45×39, 7.62×39 and 308. For velocities over 3000fps MV use at 200 yards minimum. Handguns should be used no closer than 10 yards and rifles 100 yards. All of our 3/8″ targets carry a limited lifetime guarantee from breakage.

Unlike plasma cutting, which cuts slowly and puts a lot of heat into the steel, resulting in a large heat-affected zone (HAZ), chipping, edge damage, and easy shattering, our laser cutting method is superior. Plasma cutting, including submerged plasma cutting, softens the steel\'s edges, while laser cutting provides cleaner, more precise cuts without excessive heat buildup.
