Description Offered for Sale is this Beautiful Majolica Blackamoor Match Holder, Match Striker, Cigarette Holder with Ashtray. The piece displays a figure atop a bale with purple hat, in front of a large melon. The bottom is impressed with the mark 81 80 which I believe is the mold number and 67 which I believe describes the size. I addition, there is a number written in ink. I see no makers mark. This Lovely Majolica Match Striker would make a Great Addition to any Vintage / Antique Majolica Collection. Size: Height 6 3/8" - Width 5 5/8" - Depth 5 1/8"
Condition: - Fair to Good Overall Used Condition. The match holder displays light scratching, crazing and a few nips / chips which I will describe. There is chipping to the hat and baskets. There are chips and roughness on the base rim. The right foot is partially missing but is glazed and is "In the Making". There are areas on the figurine where paint and glaze are missing. Please see the pictures to view the condition of the item for yourself.
