Exceptional original 1948 NBC production script for THE AMOS ’N’ ANDY SHOW, presented by Rinso, for the March 23, 1948 broadcast. The script is headed “ANDY ON A CRUISE,” Script #26, Volume #5, and is marked REVISED / 2nd REVISION throughout.The physical script preserves the working production form of a Golden Age network radio broadcast, including cast dialogue, music and sound cues, commercial transitions, Rinso advertising copy, a Red Cross plug, applause cues and the NBC closing identification.Especially significant is a contemporary reference to actor James Baskett. Near the conclusion of the program, Amos discusses Baskett\'s recent Academy Award for his portrayal of Uncle Remus in SONG OF THE SOUTH.
