This sale is for a flat can motor upgrade kit for HO scale AHM Rivarossi 4-6-2 and 4-6-4 steam locomotive chassis only. This motor kit is intended for theearly version locomotives with the square motor or later versions with the round motor mounted in the cab. NOTE! Be sure to check to see if your engine has a square motor or a round motorinside the cab before purchasing this kit. This kit WILL NOT WORK in thenew red box versions of locomotives that have a flat can motor mounted inside the boiler.
If you need to repower a Rivarossi 2-8-2, 2-8-4, 2-10-2, 4-8-4 locomotives, or articulated locomotives, please see my other sales.
This motor kit WILL NOT WORK in the GG1, E8, U23C, or Kraus Maffei locomotives.

The motor measures 25mm long x 20mm high x 15mm wide, the motor shaft is 8mm long and 2mm in diameter. At 12 volts DC with no load the motor draws 50ma and develops 9550 rpm, the stall current is 800ma. This is a high torque motor.. This motor will start turning smoothly on 1 volt DC. This motor is DCC compatible.

Installation time is about 2 hours. The motor kit consists of 1 flat can motor, new flexible coupling, hook up wire, and illustrated installation instructions. Please note, the instructions provided with the kit are for a 4-6-2 or 4-6-4 chassis.
