Up for sale is a gorgeous, collector grade Sony Walkman SRF-30W FM Stereo receiver introduced in 1982.This classic silver pocket radio is an early standalone FM tuner model, historically significant for vintage audio enthusiasts and Walkman collectors.This unit has been meticulously cared for and is in pristine, like new cosmetic condition with virtually no visible wear.The battery compartment is clean and entirely free of corrosion.
Functional condition:

• Audio Output : 100 % fully functional. Tunes local stations clearly with excellent audio separation in both ear channels.
• Controls: Dial, volume control, and switches move smoothly.
• Stereo indicator light: The red stereo indicator light functions , though it can be intermittent based on switching position or signal strength- A highly common trait for these 40+ year old analog units.

• Period-Accurate, vintage style lightweight headphones featuring iconic 1980's orange foam ear pads. Please NOTE: These headphones are unbranded/not original Sony manufacture, but they look fantastic, function perfectly and allow you to use the Walkman as Sony designed.

• Please NOTE: Sony designed the Walkman FM Radio not to function until the headphones were plugged into the unit. The primary reason was that the headphone wires act as an antenna for the radio. To operate the radio first turn power on and then insert headphone into the headphone jack then tune and adjust volume. There is also a slide switch on side panel to select either stereo or mono audio.
