Published in Chicago by Union Publishing House. The copyright page displays the earlier 1882 John McCoy and 1890 D. H. Wever copyright dates, while the title page dates this edition to 1897.
This Victorian memorial collection contains poetry, prose and reflections concerning a mother’s love, death, grave, heavenly home and treasured memories.
Features an ornate red pictorial cloth binding with black floral decoration, gilt cover accents, illustrated frontispiece, additional illustrations, decorative endpapers and gilt page edges. The presentation page remains unfilled.
Antique condition with cover rubbing, edge and corner wear, spine wear, discoloration, page toning and other signs of age. The interior hinge is cracked and partially separated, with binding material visible. The covers remain attached but should be handled carefully. No obvious missing pages were observed, although the book has not been checked page by page.
