Each issue bears Granovsky\'s ink signature (\"A. A. Granovsky\") on the front cover or title page; several issues retain his personal graphic ex-libris bookplate. Covers lightly age-toned along edges and spine folds, with minor rubbing to corners and occasional faint creasing; minor chipping to spine extremities on two early issues, with original staples intact, showing mild oxidation. Text blocks uniformly clean, tight, and unclipped throughout.

A substantial, consecutive nine-issue run of this influential British interwar geopolitical quarterly edited by Lancelot Lawton (1885–1947), one of the foremost English journalists and foreign policy analysts to advocate for Ukrainian independence and European awareness of Soviet state repression. Established in October 1936, the periodical delivered rigorous critical analysis of Soviet domestic and foreign policy, documenting the Moscow Show Trials, anti-religious campaigns, economic planning, forced agricultural collectivization, and the purge of the Red Army high command (including Marshal Tukhachevsky). Crucially, Lawton placed the national liberation movements of Eastern Europe—most notably the \"Ukrainian Question\"—at the center of international security, featuring contributions from key émigré scholars and military figures such as Professor Volodymyr Sadovsky (\"The Permanent Revolution in Ukraine\"), General Nikolai Golovine, and Colonel Nikolai Piatnitsky.
