This Factory GM OEM Chevrolet GMC Truck SUV Computer ECM (ECU) is used and being sold in AS IS condition. The ECM is in good condition, but will need the PROM chip from your vehicle or a reprogrammed prom chip inside the ECM to ensure it transfers and functions with your vehicle.
*** PLEASE NOTE*** This unit was fully functional when removed from the vehicle, but has been on the shop shelf for months and we do not guarantee function. REMOVED FROM A 1989 SILVERADO K1500 5.7L Part # is1227747 for 88-91 OBS Trucks and SUV's Please make sure this is the correct ECM Matching part number for your vehicle. No Broken Tabs or Clips ready to install! (SEE PICS). The face cover has some cuffs and scratches but otherwise ready to go with a Prom Chip (not included)

This unit is sold NOT INCLUDING the prom. To install a new or your vehicles existing prom remove the prom from your ECM and install it into the replacement computer. No special tools required.
******PLEASE NOTE*** GMinstalled 1227747 ECM's in many different GM applications. However, each model received their specific PROM (chip) from the factory. You CANNOT swapa used ECMfrom one vehicle to another without replacing the PROM (chip) with the one from your vehicle. You will need to remove the two bolt cover and install the PROM (chip) from your original computer. The PROM(chip) holds the vehicle's specific programming engine, gear ratio, transmission and other information so you must reuse your PROM (Chip). We do not sell PROM's you can find a vendor that will match what your vehicle had or use your existing!
