The 5 Inch Motor Mount Vertical Extension is designed to raise an outboard motor up to 5 inches higher than the standard transom mounting position, providing increased flexibility for specialized marine applications. This vertical extension is commonly used when converting a propeller-driven boat to a jet drive system, as well as on shallow-running boats already equipped with tunnel extensions. In these setups, the extension mounts directly to a hydraulic Power-Lift or jack plate, allowing proper engine height and improved performance. Constructed from heavy-gauge extruded 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, it offers excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and long service life in marine environments. This static extension features a 1/2-inch setback, supports motors up to V6 horsepower ratings, and measures 5 inches wide by 20-1/2 inches high when mounted, making it a durable and reliable solution for fixed engine height applications.
