Crafted from High Quality and Durable Materials: Main housing built from ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) offers high durability for outdoor applications weathering storms and UV rays. Protective snap-in-place ring designed to protect wires traveling through soffit manufactured from TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)Designed for a clean look free of exposed wires. (designed to mount directly to soffit or to dimensional lumber brace above metal soffit). Network cables feed through the protective ring into region above soffit (and ultimately into the house).
To install: Determine and mark camera location on soffit. Drill 1-1/4\" hole through soffit and supporting dimensional lumber (for metal soffit). Depending on home design bracing may or may not already exist at mounting location. ADDITIONAL BRACING MAY BE REQUIRED ABOVE SOFFIT FOR A SOLID MOUNTING SURFACE. Once 1-1/4 hole is drilled, box is mounted using wood screws (not provided). TPU ring passes through the soffit protecting wires from sharp edges. This leaves a clean professional look without exposed fasteners or wires.
