This is a length of Marimekko Taapeli Fabric, with an abstract patterned designed by Jenni Tuominen in 2012. It is 100% cotton and 108 inches long, 55 inches wide. The fabric is in good condition.
The name of the fabric, Taapeli: Logs are transported from the forest to the sawmill in a quilt-like Taapeli. There the sawyers stack the sawn lumber to dry for the summer. A wonderful wood-inspired print.
Artist: Jenni Tuominen (born 1976) comes from Porvoo, Finland and is an illustrator and artist. She has graduated as a blacksmith in 1996 and as an artist/printmaker in 2001. Tuominen hasstudied graphic design at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki.
