3 Civil War Related Books - Lincoln\'s Admiral, High Tide at Gettysburg, US Grant For Sale

Here is a nice offering of three vintage books on the American Civil War for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep them for yourself.

The first book is called \"High Tide at Gettysburg\" by Glenn Tucker. Published in ???? by Konecky & Konecky.In hardcover form. Comes with the dust cover. The book is 462 pages in length. This book is not a second edition.

The second book is entitled, \"Cigars, Whiskey, and Winning, Leadership Lessons from General Ulysses S Grant\". The book was written by Al Kaltman. This book was published in 1997 by Prentice Hall. The book is 322 pages in length. In soft cover form. A crease in the front cover. No marking or previous owner stamps in the book.This is a first edition, in soft cover form. There was a previous hardcover version.

The third book is entitled, \"Lincoln\'s Admiral, The Civil War Campaigns of David Farragut\". The book was written by James P. Duffy. The book was published in 2000 by Castle Books. The book is 276 pages in length. In hard cover and the dust jacket is in place. This is not a first edition book that was put out in 1997.

These books came from the estate of a party that was a huge collector of Civil War books and artwork. Also, many items dealing with General George Armstrong Custer, and other historical figures and events.

We will be posting a number of other Civil War, and other items that we acquired from this sale over the next few weeks. So, keep looking to our online store here as they will be offered for sale separately. Some of the items are Native American artwork.

What were are offering are Abraham Lincoln Books (Sandburg and a 9 Vol Collection of Abe\'s Papers & Correspondence), George Armstrong Custer artwork, and books on the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, both antique and vintage. Civil War books include a number of ones done by Bruce Catton and Shelby Foote. Also, Charles Lindbergh books and the salesman sample for the Beamish biography on him.

This fine set of books is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a fine book shop or sale house. We can do that by being a dealer in artwork for over 40 years, better controlling our acquisition costs, keeping commission costs low (if applicable). Finally, we don\'t have the overhead that fine book shops or sale houses have.

The books are in nice condition. Nofoxing or brown spotting to the pages. No writing or owner marks/stamps in the books, except where noted.

We take great pride in is our wrapping to ensure that yourorder is safely shipped to you. Youmight find our shipping costs higher than other sellers, but it is due to theextra time, packing care, and materials we utilize. Of over 900 packages shipped last year, wehad only two items with issues, a 99.8% damage free delivery rate. Keep in mind, we are not shipping soft goods, like shirts orpants. We are shipping vintage/antique items that are fragile and requirespecial care.

We also obtain insurance on any item that was bought for $50or more, and require signature on delivery for items that are valued at over$200. Plus we have to pay the 11.75% ofthe final value and shipping fees that charges.

Forfeiture- Items not picked up or arrangements not made by Buyer to have the item shipped to them within 60 days after payment, or during the layaway payment process, will be forfeited by Buyer to Seller. Seller then has the right to resell the item again, with no refund of purchase price or sales tax to previous Buyer.

• Returns are accepted by seller within 30 days of receipt of item where an item is not as described. The Buyer will be assessed a 15% fee of the Item Cost, plus 115% of both Shipping Costs should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason.
  
• Please note that a fee is charged toto cover costs related to the loss of listing time and other potential sales, plus the amount of care and time that goes into preparing our unique and fragile items for shipping.
