Wonderful lot of three antique Arthur Thiele comic cat postcards from Series 99, presenting a humorous night-out sequence:
* “Come On Over Tonight” featuring an eager cat peering over a fence
* “I’m Having the Time of My Life” showing a disheveled cat clinging to a lamppost after a night of revelry
* “The Morning After the Night Before” featuring a battered and bewildered cat with bandages
These expressive anthropomorphic cat illustrations are classic examples of Arthur Thiele’s humorous animal artwork and display especially well together as a coordinated group.
All three cards are postally used with one-cent stamps, handwritten correspondence and addresses, and 1910 postmarks. Condition varies across the lot and includes expected corner and edge wear, age toning, surface wear, and handling. The “Come On Over” card has handwriting on the front.
