Up for sale is a rare, matching trio of authentic antique Wedgwood creamware butter pats, dating between 1769 and 1860.These 3-inch individual dishes feature a classic late-Georgian style, decorated with a hand-painted exquisite, delicate, red and green laurel/leaf rim border on a deep cream earthenware body.
Maker's Marks: The base of the dishes features the early, straight impressed "WEDGWOOD" serif mark stamped from a single metal slug. Crucially, these pieces do not feature the 3-letter date codes introduced in 1860, nor do they feature the "ENGLAND" stamp introduced in 1891, guaranteeing their early, pre-1860 age. Faint incised potter's tool marks/dots are visible next to the factory stamps.

Dish 1: Very good antique condition with a small organic glaze stain/yellowing on the inner well.
Dish 2: Features a stable, tight hairline crack running across the body.
Dish 3: Features an open rim chip and a small connected crack.
