A wonderfully varied collection of twenty-six miniature architectural buildings, combining French Gault pieces with an assortment of ceramic, pottery, resin and other composition houses and shops.
The group has the character of a miniature streetscape assembled over time rather than a matched set. Architectural styles range from Mediterranean and Provençal buildings to cottages, shops and village structures, with hand-painted details, textured roofs, masonry, windows and storefronts. Several pieces are signed or marked GAULT FRANCE, including examples from the collectible French miniature architectural series.
Particularly appealing displayed together, the collection creates an eclectic small-scale village with considerable variation in height, form, color and architectural detail.
