2024 P LINCOLN PENNY BOX-50 ROLLS….PHILADELPHIA MINT. For Sale

At the first of 2026 I had purchased from an seller a bankers box of 2025 P pennies. Knowing that 2025 was the last year of issue, and being a collector, I had purchased a bankers box (50 rolls still in the original wrap) of 2025 D, and later paid a extreme premium for a bankers box of 2025 P. I was confident that someday these pennies from each of the mints (P & D) might just be worth something, especially if they were still inside of the sealed bankers box. So, when both of these boxes arrived, still sealed, they were put into my inventory for safe keeping.Months later I decided to create a two penny flip and sell them locally at a consignment store. So, I carefully retrieved both boxes from my inventory and for the first time I finally broke the seal on each box and began to examine them with great excitement. Soon I was well on my way of assembling these special two coin flips. I carefully opened the first two rolls and with gloved hands examined each of the pennies. Fun!…Right?To my surprise I discovered that the sealed bankers box of 2025 P pennies was in fact an entire box of 2024 P pennies. What? How could this happen? How could the seller send me a sealed box of the wrong pennies that I had just paid a hard to believe premium price for. I immediately reached out to the seller, and he quickly denied any wrong doing and to basically ‘go pound sand’. I then reached out to customer protection advocates who also in turn said I should ‘go pound sand’, that I was well beyond the time frame to report any such problem.So, here I am today with a beautiful bankers box of 2025 D pennies, and a lonely bankers box of 2024 P pennies, all still in their original wrappers except for one roll.And so, my loss will soon be your gain especially if you are looking for a very nice bankers box (50 rolls of 50 coins per roll, a whopping total of 2,500 coins) of 2024 P Lincoln Shield pennies. That was a hard lesson learned, all while leaving a nice dent in the pocket book of over $900. Ouch.
