A fantastic pair of original-looking vintage 1970s folk/modernist paintings, both signed “Ernesto” and dated 1974 and 1976. One features a wonderfully stylized guitarist in a red hat; the companion piece features a bold radiating sun and colorful rooster. Both share the same quirky geometric style, earthy 70s palette and matching vintage wood frames.
The paintings are 8.5x11.5\" and the frames make it 12x15\". There are minor signs of wear on the frames, please see the photos.
These came from my father\'s personal collection and have been together for many years. He brought them home from travels in the Philippines over the years, but I cannot verify the original artist attribution, so they are being sold simply as signed works by “Ernesto.”
They\'re delightfully weird in eclectic the way good 1970s art should be. Perfect for a vintage, eclectic, boho, folk-art or maximalist interior.
