This beautiful Jackie O style/Chanel inspired 2 piece emerald green suit was tailor made for a member of my family by a Hong Kong tailor between 1961 and 1963. It was a custom order by a officer in the United States Navy who was on sea duty in the area.
This suit is beautifully made from a gorgeous green patterned silk, complete with custom plain silk trim and covered buttons. The top is semi-fitted with curved seams on the bodice, and the A-line skirt (fitted with darts for a flattering line) has a zip closure with hook and eye.
The neckline, sleeve hems and scalloped hem of the top are trimmed with lovely green silk. The buttons up the back of the top are covered in the same green silk pattern as the skirt and top.
Both top and skirt are fully with darts into the waistband for a flattering profile. L: 21", plus a 2" finished hem. W: 29.5", closed with a zipper and a high quality hook/eye
