This listing is for a set of two large acrylic paintings created in the early 1980s and signed by a Cincinnati area outsider artist. They measure approximately 26\" x 38\" and 26\" x 32\". Artist and artwork provenance in the form of a newsprint piece will be provided to the buyer and can be seen in listing photos.
These two paintings are highly decorative and extremely detailed. They feature roosters and eggs surrounded by plants and flowers. Highly precise paint dots that were painstakingly executed individually with a brush tip produce an effect close to pointillism, well well-placed negative space and vibrant colors work together to produce a psychedelic effect and movement with purpose.
While the artist was active for a short time in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area, they produced a relatively small number of pieces, making these folk art paintings a unique set.
