A rare cut paper silhouette of two sisters "Mary Elizabeth May" and "Lois Emma May".The silhouettes are enhanced with gold paint on the head and waist.I was able to find a reference online to a third sister Florence (1845-1923) .These two sisters were daughters of Edward Collet May and Mary Elizabeth Atkins.The image size is 9" X 7" and including the period frame the overall size is 12 1/4" X 10".
