Very good vintage condition. The body displays small dents and scratches consistent with nearly five decades of normal use. There is also a small chip in the binding.
The frets appear to have been replaced at some point. There is minor chipping and evidence of previous work on the fingerboard around the 14th fret, but this does not affect playability.
The neck is straight enough for typical playing setup standards, with a slight amount of forward relief that is barely noticeable. This does not affect playability or tuning stability, and the guitar holds tune well.
Overall, this is a handsome player-grade vintage D-35 with the cosmetic character expected from an authentic 1979 Martin.
