1972 AMC Javelin For Sale

Classic custom 1972 Javelin SST with 1970 AMX front fenders and hood. Mad Max retro look. This car was extensively modified in the mid 1990’s. The original 304 was replaced by a 360. Actual mileage on car is unknown. Front clip was changed to the 1970 AMX style while retaining the 1972 SST grille. Painted in Jeep Loden Green metallic also in the 90’s. The car shows very well for 30+ year old paint. Recent clear coat brought back most of the shine. There are understandably a few scratches, dings and blemishes. There’s no rust on car . This car would be perfect for someone that wants a car they can drive and bring it to car shows. Not only are Javelins unique at car shows but I would bet you won’t find another like this one. Turnkey car runs and drives excellent. Gets thumbs up wherever I go👍I have owned car for 5 years. Car has new aluminum radiator, tires, belts, hoses, speedometer cable. Tires are 235/60r14 in rear and 205/70r14 in front. Newer battery. Has new retro manufacturing stereo radio to look like original. Has aftermarket tach installed where clock option would have gone. Previous owner installed a one wire alternator that works fine but when I put in the stereo, I replaced the idiot light bulb not realizing the light (I’m the idiot!) would stay on. Could either pull bulb again and install a gauge or I believe there is a company that makes a diode switch to make it work. Original headliner is missing and now has a plastic insert. It doesn’t look bad if you aren’t looking for it. Some cracking of plastic dash pieces but dash pad is excellent as are seats with just one small cut in passenger seat. Heater control cable is disconnected at dash. There is a push/pull cable in its place. All lights, wipers and gauges work. Gas gauge shows 3/4 when full so it’s off a bit. Horn button needs adjustment for horn to work. No leaks and no known major work needed. Stereo amp in trunk recently quit working so I bypassed it. I have driven this car on 30+ mile trips with no issues. Will have car for its first car show at Palmer Days next Saturday the 12th in Palmer Minnesota if anyone wants to check it out weather permitting. Please note I have this car at my cabin which I am at a few days a week. If you need other pics, please allow a few days lag time if I’m not up there. If buyer prefers to work with the Carmel system, I’m ok with that too. I’m old school and not versed on all the new tech stuff. Not desperate to sell so no lowball offers please.
