1965 Ford Mustang. If you are looking for a numbers matching car, this is not it. It was sold to me as a high performance 302 bored .030 over, however, I believe the motor is a 289 bored .030 over from what 2 other mechanics have told me. I have owned this car for the last 13 years. Always garaged, driven less than 3000 miles in 13 years.
289 v8 bored .030 over with a mild cam, 3 speed manual transmission, new 3 row radiator, new water pump, new thermostat, MSD all in one billet distributor, MSD plug cables, Chrome Monte Carlo bar, traction bars, upper and lower control arms, KYB shocks, disc front brakes, rear drum, 8 inch rearend, new metal hood ready for paint. The hood is brand new, and has a small 2cm dent in the center. Dual flowmasters with the H pipe crossover. Viper security alarm. Tires are old, should be replaced soon. They are Riken raptor tires, and American Racing wheels- Torque thrust II. Recent oil change, car runs and drives great. Idles when cold around 1200 rpm then kicks down around 800rpm when warm. I have never been in any accidents in this car. To the best of my knowledge, the car has a clean title. The new metal hood will need some adjusting to be lined up properly.
No functioning AC or Radio. No functional horn. The heater works, the windshield wipers work, headlights, brakes lights, turn signals all work. Interior lights work. The car\'s paint is ok. It looks ok from 10 feet away, and when you get closer the car had many scratches and scrapes throughout. There roof of the car has a small 4-5 inch scrape in the paint which will need to be addressed. The paint of the car overall is ok, but I left the hood black because I think a new paint job would really complete this American icon. It is registered in California through September 2027. Cheers.
