This 1960s-era Rawlings XPG 26 is a full-size, right-hand-throw baseball glove carrying the Mickey Mantle facsimile autograph and player association. Made in the USA, it features Rawlings’ Deep Well pocket and retains strong, highly readable palm markings.
This is an exceptionally well-preserved example with attractive golden-brown leather, excellent shape and what appears to be its original lace throughout. The leather remains flexible, the pocket is well formed and the glove is still playable—not merely a display piece.
There is some ink on the back of the middle finger and a former owner’s name written inside the hand stall. Neither is visually overwhelming, and both are shown clearly in the photographs. Overall, this is a remarkably handsome Mantle glove with the character of an authentic survivor and the condition to stand apart from the typical XPG 26.
