Shaw played 11 years in the majors, beginning as a reliever with the Tigers in ‘53 and by ‘59 he was with the White Sox where they made a him a starter, and he went on to lead the league in winning percentage with .750 mark, going 18 and 6. He had several winning years, 15 and 9 with the Braves in ‘62, and 19 and 9 with the Giants in ‘65, but was essentially a .500 pitcher with seven teams, ending up with a 108 and 98 won lost record lifetime.
