Thishard-bound book was produced as a promotional item, offered toindustry representatives seeking business information on US Steelproducts and applications. With a colorized embossed art motiffeaturing the newly introduced hypocycloid 4-star elements of thecompany’s logo from 1958, it was published with pagination. Noprinted credit acknowledgment to the artist(s) beyond the “J.Neshe” signature in the illustrations for the black and whiteillustrated story pages. Text inclusions within feature “UnitedStates Steel Corporation” and “Automotive Industries. MarketDevelopment Division”.
Sizedapproximately overall at 14\" x 11\", it has a total of 36pages. Page size is 13 3/4” x 10 ½” Contents page and ISBN wasnot included when it was produced. Printed on heavy weight paperstock with a textured satin finish.
Thecondition of the book has aged over its 67 years, with most notableeffects with the cover having some surface wear and material loss onbinding at fold line, primarily aged from a long storage life, ratherthan excessive handling. The colorized printed overlay on the artretains it’s original finish. The surface has some very smallblemishes present. Some light staining in front inside cover pages.Some slight yellowing on interior page edges present. There are nowritten inscriptions within. The interior pages include some wearfrom page to page rubbing, are in multiple colors with no bentcorners, dog-eared folds, creases. Some minor fraying of page edges.Stored for the last two decades, sealed, in climate controlledenvironment. See photos for additional details.
