1953 P — Philly — 256 million made — right in the heart of the Wheat years.
This one has nice original brown color and honest wear. Date 1953 is sharp and clear, IN GOD WE TRUST runs full across the top, LIBERTY is bold on the left, and you can still see Lincoln’s hair waves and beard line.
Back side — ONE CENT is bold and centered, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is full and readable, both wheat ears are clear, and E PLURIBUS UNUM runs along the top rim.
Quick honest note — on the back, on the right wheat, there’s a thin little scratch that starts right at the tip of the wheat and goes down to the rim at about 4 o’clock — you can see it in the second photo. Just a light contact mark from circulation, not a big gouge, not green, not a carbon spot.
Original surfaces, no cleaning.
