This gorgeous vintage Murano glass table lamp, produced by the celebrated artisans at the Barovier and Toso glass works, has gold leaf (aventurine) inclusions along with controlled bubble (bullicante) detail and a fluted and scalloped-edge glass body... multiple features to reflect and refract light in fascinating ways.
Brass hardware (with a nice deep patina from age) includes a two-headed light fixture with adjustable swivel sockets, double pull-chain on/off switches, adjustable stem to vary shade height (shade not included) and, most amazing of all, the original matching Murano glass finial. Glass base section has a notch formed in one scallop to allow for the cord to pass along the table through the bottom edge.
Overall height of the lamp is about 32 inches with the glass body being about 15.5 inches. Base is 6.5 inches in diameter, and body measures about 5 inches across at the widest. White cord is about 32 inches long. Underside has a severely chipped partial original Murano label with only a few numbers visible... an enterprising detective could possibly determine the precise age and model number!
In excellent working, vintage condition -- it appears to have been rewired at some point in time by a previous owner. No chips, cracks, or other damage to the glass. No shade included; I would suggest a shade about 14 inches tall and 20 inches diameter, with the mounting washer flush with top (not recessed) to display the fabulous finial.
