Very good vintage condition for books approaching 80 years of age. The hardcover bindings remain solid and attractive, with the original burgundy covers, embossed decoration, and gilt lettering on the spines. There is some normal age-related wear to the covers, edges, corners, and page edges. The interiors remain well preserved overall.
