This is an original photo of Lou Gehrig sliding into home plate safely against NY Giants catcher Gus Mancuso in the bottom of the 8th inning in game four of the 1936 World Series at Yankee Stadium. Gehrig, earlier in the bottom of the third, hit a two-run home run off of Carl Hubbell. These runs helped end Hubbell\'s 17 game win streak and the win gave the Yankees a 3-1 series lead in the prominant Subway Series. The photo is in excellent condition and captures an important moment in Yankee\'s history.
