The volumes contain a mixture of period black-and-white photography and attractive early colour plates, including Mexico, natural history and other subjects.

Bound in dark blue cloth with gilt National Geographic lettering to the spines.

Condition: These are well over 100 years old and show considerable external age-related wear. The boards have extensive spotting/staining, with rubbing and wear to edges and corners. The first volume has heavier wear around the top of the spine. Pages show age toning and occasional marks/creasing, but the interiors retain a wealth of original photographs, illustrations and colour material.
