Large illustrated volume containing the annual reports of the New York Forest, Fish and Game Commission for 1904, 1905 and 1906. An extensive period reference on New York fisheries, fish hatcheries, wildlife, forestry, conservation and outdoor sporting subjects.
The volume is profusely illustrated throughout with photographs, black-and-white illustrations and particularly attractive full-page color plates of fish and wildlife. Subjects include numerous freshwater and saltwater fish as well as game birds and other wildlife.
Condition:Worn antique condition with substantial exterior wear, rubbing, staining, fraying and corner/edge wear. Front inner hinge is weakened with exposed binding material but the front board remains attached. Several leaves appear to have been removed/torn out near the front of the volume, with remnants visible at the gutter. Rear hinge has more significant separation and weakness. Scattered foxing, staining and occasional edge wear are present internally. The illustrations were checked against the book\'s List of Illustrations; one listed plate, “Yellow Mackerel,” called for facing page 190, is missing with no visible marks of separation of page. The remaining listed plates and maps were found present during inspection.Please review all photographs carefully for condition.
