A Georgian Bilston enamel patch box of rectangular form, decorated with a hand-painted romantic interior scene to the lid framed by gilt scrollwork. The sides are decorated with floral motifs typical of late 18th-century Bilston production. The interior retains its enamel lining and the box has its original hinged lid construction. It displays visible signs of age and use including enamel wear, losses to the gilt decoration, edge wear, and discolouration throughout. A large hairline crack is present to the enamel. The box remains in its original found condition.
